The absence of proper methods for municipal solid waste (MSW) disposal has led to enormous environmental damage and public health deterioration. Infrastructure for efficient disposal has not been able to match up with India’s ever-increasing quantity of urban waste. To combat the growing source of concern of MSW disposal, Green Nerds Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has designed an innovative automatic garbage mould (AGM) technology product that helps in efficient disposal of waste.

Waste in landfills is not segregated and recycling companies, due to the presence of mixed materials, reject most of it. The AGM machine, in fact, helps in the reduction of waste quantity by 75 percent. This patented technology helps in the segregation of waste for better management and recycling.

Green Nerds’ services include collection, segregation and disposal of MSW. Collection is done at a decentralised level and segregation, at the collection site, is done with the help of a conveyer belt. Reusable material is then fed into the AGM machine. Organic waste can be converted into compost and manure while biodegradable waste can be used as raw material for alternative energy. Other non-biodegradable waste is compressed to decrease its volume, thus reducing landfill occupancy.

Apart from being cost-effective, the AGM is a machine that is simplistic and can be set up even in a floor space of 250 square feet. The machine has a capacity to process 5 to 12 tons of waste per day.
